Copyright (c) 2011-19 The Farrar Foundation A way into education, science, & sport

The Farrar Foundation was established in 2011 by Jeremy Farrar and Christiane Dolecek. We are a small family charity. Our ambition is to make a difference to people’s lives through programmes that support education, health, science or recreational activities focused on South East Asia and in particular Viet Nam and Nepal with links to the UK. The founders have a long-standing association with both Viet Nam and Nepal and it is hoped that through the Foundation they, their children, and others may become involved in the work of the Foundation and further its aims.

The Farrar Foundation was inspired by the lives of the parents of the founders and their own experiences of working in Viet Nam and Nepal. Our logo takes its inspiration from one of the favourite poems of Eric and Anne Farrar – Ulysses by Alfred Tennyson

“I am a part of all that I have met;
Yet all experience is an arch wherethro'
Gleams that untravell'd world whose margin fades
For ever and forever when I move.
How dull it is to pause, to make an end,
To rust unburnish'd, not to shine in use”
